Exclusively feat. all-natural ways. ’Cause it’s almost time to say bye to runny noses and allergies. Or maybe not.

We need all the help we can get to keep sickness at bay especially when the seasons change. Fortunately, there are many natural ways to make your home a space that supports immunity.

Invite In the Fresh Air

One of the reasons why winter is known as cold and flu season is because, in general, there is less air circulation in our homes. Of course, it’s not desirable to have your windows wide open on freezing days…but on milder days, let the fresh air in once in a while.

Diffuse Essential Oils

A diffuser and a good supply of immunity-supporting essential oils could be your family’s best friends this winter. Choose oils like rosemary, cinnamon, wild orange, clove and eucalyptus to support your systems while making your home smell wonderful.

Encourage More Water Drinking

Staying hydrated is one of your best immunity-boosting bets. There are many ways you can encourage your family to drink more water. For example, try making ice cubes with berries or making jugs of water with fruits that your children enjoy. Special drinking cups can also support this healthy habit.

Encourage Better Sleep

Sleep supports strong immunity, period. A household tweak that helps everybody sleep better is removing devices from bedrooms at least 30 minutes before going to bed. Spend that half-hour relaxing, reading stories, connecting, and enjoying sensory aids like essential oils

Be it, kids, adults or the elderly, home is a safe haven for all and brings everyone together. Simple tweaks and habits like these nourish them all and have a great impact on their mental and immune health.

Light a scented candle at the dinner table, share a silly joke with your partner, take a walk with the kids, and listen to your granduncle sing out aloud… Create pockets of positivity in your home.

For it is in these li’l pockets that life actually happens!
